Shaun’s place was great. Everything was as it was described and pictured in listing. It was actually roomier than it looked in the photos and even though there were only 2 of us I would rent with my 2 daughters and their husbands and I think would all be comfortable. Beautiful views and great area too.

Margaritaville on Honeoye Lake was a lovely little place to spend a week in the Finger Lakes. The house had everything we needed and the lakefront setting amongst the community of cottages was quite idyllic.

We had a great stay at Shaun’s lake house. The house was very well stocked with cooking supplies and utensils. They also had kayaks that were lightweight and easy to carry out to the dock along with life jackets for safety! We enjoyed our stay!

We had a nice stay at Shaun's place. The beds were comfy, the views were beautiful, and the house had great space. We were also impressed with how well stocked the kitchen was! My husband and our friends really loved the PacMan machine! lol I will say, if you're hoping to swim or even fish off the dock, this probably isn't the best place for you. The seaweed is pretty thick and very tall. That was probably our biggest disappointment. The local public beach was also closed due to algae, so we had to drive 30 minutes away to a different lake. Regardless, the house itself was great!

We had a great time at Shaun’s place. The house was as described in the listing and there was plenty of room for 6 adults. The kitchen was well stocked, the beds were comfortable, and the view of the lake was beautiful. We had our meals out on the deck and spent our evenings around the fire pit. Highly recommend Shaun’s place for a peaceful getaway with great lake access.

This is a great location on a nice lake. The house is simple but clean and well equipped. A nice arrangement with two bedrooms upstairs and two bedrooms and another living area downstairs, which wasn't clear from the listing, but was perfect for us. The two kayaks were great to use on the lake. We didn't fish but tons of fish in the water would make it perfect for fishing. For visitors to the area, Lake Honeoye, while beautiful, isn't quite as nice of a swimming lake as some of the larger, deeper lakes - because it is quite shallow there are a lot more weeds growing in the water, including nearby the house and dock. Also lots of speedboats, especially on a summer weekend, so not ideal if you are looking for a quiet paddle kind of place, unless you go very early or late. But great if you bring your own boat. It is wonderful that there are quiet hours in the neighborhood, from 10 pm to 7 am, although the otherwise friendly neighbors have a dog that does not abide by those hours.

This was the perfect place for a much needed getaway with friends and family. it had the right amount of space for 6 adults to relax, chill and cook meals together. The weather wasn't ideal but the outdoor space was great when we could be outside. Thanks for offering your home!

Shaun’s place was wonderful for our multi-generational family gathering. Plenty of sleeping spaces and places to gather. Many amenities not mentioned in the description… extra pillows, blankets, fans, spices and seasonings, lots of towels. The location is very private and we enjoyed the beachy area for our toddler to play in the water. Enjoyed the two kayaks and fishing right off the dock was great! The Mrs Pac-Man game was a big hit with all!

Fantastic lake home for a family getaway! Quiet street, comfortable home, and friendly neighbors. Only caution is that if you are bringing a dog, the staircase is a metal spiral one and not dog-friendly. We blocked it off with chairs to prevent issues.

The house was well furnished and comfortable with a nice view of the lake and sunrise from multiple windows . Lake access was easy and I was able to keep my boat docked all week. The neighbors were friendly and the street was quiet. The deck was spacious enough for 6 adults to enjoy morning coffee or to eat dinner by the water. Honeoye Lake is shallower than the other finger lakes so expect weeds, but the fishing was good. Overall, we had a nice week and the price was fair.

We loved staying at this cozy lakeside house. It had plenty of space for our family to spread out. And its lakefront access was perfect for launching kayaks and skipping rocks. Hikes, good restaurants, and shopping were all within 20-25 min drive, but we mostly enjoyed sitting by the lake and fire pit. Our hosts were very responsive when we had questions but otherwise left us to enjoy the quiet of their property. We will be back!

Our group had five adults and two dogs, and we had all the space we needed! The views of the lake are beautiful and the house itself is cozy. It was nice to have access to kayaks since the water was a little too weedy for us to swim, but being right on the water was really nice. Close to breweries, wineries, and restaurants.

The cottage is beautiful, clean, and spacious. Awesome view and plenty of seating on the deck and in the house. The grill was great. Kitchen is well supplied. One disappointment was a group of geese had decided this was their home and the shore and dock were covered in goose poop. It was my first time staying here and on this lake, so I don't know if that was an unusual occurrence. Going in the water was not a priority for me. If I had a family of young children planning to go in the water, I would have been unhappy. If you are looking for a place to relax and enjoy the view, you will like it here. Owner was very responsive to all communication.

The house has a beautiful view of the lake and overall our stay was very quiet, peaceful and a great place just to relax. Our 3 kids, ages 20 - 26 had a great time fishing off the dock, they caught numerous fish of several species, enjoyed the fire pit at night and the two kayaks. The locals were extremely helpful and friendly as well. Places to check out were Birdhouse Brewery, Doc's Tackle, Reed Homestead Shop, Top Shelf Pizza and boat rentals at Trident Marina. Unfortunately we didn't have enough time to check out other local places.

We had a lovely stay on Honeoye Lake. The place was spacious enough for our group of 8, with some 2 big areas to congregate inside, plus the deck and backyard, so we could split up when some of us wanted to play games while others wanted a place to chill. We enjoyed the kayaks and explored the lake, and loved being able to have our dogs with us. Shaun was super helpful, and when someone stopped by to help us with some cleaning supplies, they brought us fresh produce. Amazing.

A great little lake home that fit our needs. The kayaks were awesome and the house had everything we needed. Loved the shade on the deck that allowed us to sit outside and watch the water even on the hottest day.

We enjoyed the kayaks and firepit. There was ample firewood for the firepit. The layout of the house was perfect for our family group. Almost a separate suite downstairs with 2 bedrooms, bath, and living room with fireplace. View and deck were very nice. The gate on the deck was great for dog. Great having a dishwasher. Found the fridge empty and clean. Mildew in showers and cobwebs around windows were disappointments. Cheap plastic mattress cover was unacceptable and impossible to sleep on. Otherwise beds were comfortable. There were plenty of towels. Found dog poop on beach upon arrival. Could not miss it. Great venue but seems like the cleaning crew is letting the owner down.

This was the perfect place to spend a fun and laid back weekend. The view was gorgeous and we got to see a lot of different wildlife on the water. We had plenty of extra linens and the kitchen had a lot of spices and ingredients to help with our meals. Shaun was very helpful and responsive. Would recommend!

My 8 friends and I rented Shaun's place for a low key bachelorette weekend, and it was perfect! The kitchen was well stocked, kayaks were fun to use, and location was quiet and private. It is about 1 hour from Seneca Lake - where we spent one day enjoying the wineries. I would recommend a stay there!

We had a great stay here! We found Canandaigua was a better place to spend some time (for food, a cute town, a beach area for the kids). Honeoye is a little quiet. But we had a great time and Shaun was an incredibly helpful host and always available for questions. Would recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay. The location, weather, company and amenities were great. Everything that was important met or exceeded our expectations. What a nice way to get away from it all and enjoy some quiet time on the lake. We appreciated the well stocked kitchen with a multitude of extras (spices, oils, plethora of utensils). The downstairs game room was comfortable and inviting. The kayaks and other water toys were especially enjoyed. This place is a gem!

This property is the PERFECT location for anybody to enjoy. Whether you have a small or large group, this house includes everything you may want/need. The kitchen was fully stocked; more so than any other place I’ve stayed. The entire home was clean, cozy and has such a beautiful interior! We had a group of 10 staying on the property and not a single one of us had anything to complain about. Shaun responded to our questions almost immediately, and check-in was as easy as it could be. My friends and I had a BLAST. We had bonfires, went kayaking, grilled our meals and had a ton of board games to keep us occupied during a long thunderstorm. All of which were included with our stay. I would certainly stay at this property again, in fact I can’t wait to come back!
